Trent Lott’s facebook page

January 12, 2010 § Leave a comment

Let us be serious for a moment: the comments by Trent Lott and Harry Reid are not morally equivalent. One statement, attributed to Reid was an incredibly clumsy attempt at a compliment. The clumsiness is in a context of an extensive history of liberal do-gooder acts. The other comment, the one by Lott, lies in the context of a profesional, if not personal, opposition to the advancement of African Americans in American society. Evidence of Mr. Lott’s antipathy toward social justice for black men and women can be found here.

To note: Sadly, I must confess to not being “the right kind of people.”
